Well – simply because if you start NOW, you will be prepared for 2019.
Here are the common errors & stupid mistakes I STILL discover in people’s Resumes.
So if you are one of them – PLEASE change it asap.

2019 Resume Formats – The 11 Sins of 2019 Resumes
- Creative Layout?
Copying a Resume Layout from the Internet would be a nice idea?
Right? - Creative Design?
– Pink Resume with purple & black text
– Neon Yellow Background
– Images of the candidate doing funny stuff - That looks nice?
Copy/Pasting words, phrases & sentences from some else’s Resume - Picture speaks a 1,000 words — NOT
Making a Resume cartoonish with too thumbnails & jpeg images - Having boring & uninteresting content
– Writing a long drawn out paragraph about the company & its activities
– Stating in detail where you worked 10 years ago
– Ensured client satisfaction - Stating ridiculous & unwanted information
– Presented reports
– Attended client meetings
– Reported to the manager? - Stating what is expected out of you
– Engineer stating he is an expert an engineering
– Salesman stating he achieve his monthly targets
– Receptionist stating she reported to the office on time - Stupid is what Stupid states
– Mentioning Hobbies — Wonder how many people are interested to know you like watching movies, socializing & spending time with the family?
– Mentioning Objective — My goal is to climb some stupid ladder
– Mentioning Skills — I know MS Office & “internet” - A Mugshot
– Putting a photograph on the Resume photoshopped so much that you look like a mannequin or another human being totally
– Putting a photograph as if you got beaten up and then were made to stand next to the wall as if you were going to be sent to jail - Jack-Of-All
I have experience in Finance, Budgeting, HR, Administration, Sales, Marketing, Coordination, Management, IT & everything else you can think of. - Too-Good-To-Be-True
Positioning yourself as God’s-Gift-To-Employerkind that the question begets — if you are so good — how comes companies are not lining up and fighting over to employ you?
