First Time Father – A Candid Confession Of A Tattooed Father
- Holding, Touching & Loving The Baby
Since the past 3 days that I first touched/held the baby in the hospital, I haven’t yet held or hugged my baby. Most of the time, the baby is either sleeping or with the mother. But I make sure to check on the baby from time to time. Even right now – I don’t feel the need to. - Sleeping With Or Next To The Baby
I haven’t slept near the baby. The baby and mother sleep in the bedroom. I sleep in my ‘office’ room on the floor. - Hahaha…Your Sleep Will Vanish Once You Have A Baby…..Wrong Again.
I sleep properly at night. I do not have any problems with my sleep as I am not taking care of the baby. My wife is. I focus on my work – personal & professional. The only added responsibility is I am doing house-work – the cleaning, cooking & house-keeping so that my wifey can focus on taking care of the child. - You Will Go Crazy As The Baby Will Cry Day & Night
The baby’s crying hasn’t impacted me one bit as I am doing my work with my headphones on, recording my youtube videos after the baby sleeps, talking to my customers online while being in my room alone (or outside) and still doing ‘business as usual’. In a very strange twist….the baby doesn’t cry as much as I thought it would. Only when it has a shower or it soils itself. - Once You Have A Baby, Your Focus Will Be….
My current focus right now is making money as money is being spent every single day to ensure whatever the child wants or needs – is provided for. In other words – my focus before was my brand and money. And now it is my brand and money – even more. - Expenses
Given that I stay in Thailand and that I checked into an affordable hospital, the expenses are as follows:
– The hospital bill for baby’s delivery – USD $120 for delivery
– The hospital room per day – USD $90 per day (3 days in total)
– Misc. expenses (medicines + doctor services) – USD $90
– Caretaker expenses – USD $12 per day (3 days in total)
– Cab to bring baby & wife home from hospital – USD $15
– Brand new baby purchases for baby at home (clothes + misc. items) – USD $360 - Requests From People
I have been inundated with messages of congratulations, personal requests to see the baby (via video), video conversations and also neighbors requesting to meet up with the baby. I have responded to comments with likes, emails & messages with one-liners & declined any requests to meet up with the baby – as the messages are over 3,000 of them and request to meet the baby/wife in person are over 10. I cannot have my personal life disrupted over people’s curiosity or kindness.
