One of the most popular principles I have devised is the Principle of the 4-7-30-3.
What is it?
This principle combines the 1st impression, the last impression, and the lasting impression format.
It stands for:
4 – When you meet someone you have only 4 seconds to make the first impression
7 – After you have met the person, you have 7 seconds from the first word you speak to make a lasting impression
30 – Once after you have introduced yourself, you have 30 seconds to set up the foundation of your impression
3 – 3 minutes is what you have to either sell yourself as the ideal candidate and generate more interest or they have already made up their mind that you are a goner.
